Science meets inspiration - The Dr Hans Riegel MINT TANK Academy
In September, B.EFFECTIVE accompanied the Dr Hans Riegel Foundation (HARIBO) for the first time at the MINT TANK Academy - an event that combines scientific excellence with inspiring experiences. As a platform for the winners of the Dr Hans Riegel specialist prizes, the academy specifically promotes young scientists and creates valuable networks for the future.
A young, high-calibre audience with special expectations.
For us as an agency, this event was special in more ways than one: the 300 or so young scientists aged between 16 and 25 not only demanded first-class event support, but also an atmosphere that supported knowledge transfer and personal growth in equal measure. Our goal was to create an environment that offered both scientific depth and a sense of belonging.
Over a four-day programme, participants were treated to a mix of high-calibre talks, interactive workshops and informal encounters. Scientific luminaries such as Prof. Dr Martina Mara, one of Europe's leading robot psychologists, and Harald Lesch, renowned astrophysicist and science journalist, shaped the Academy with their impulses. The event became a stage for curiosity, interdisciplinary dialogue and visions for the future - a dynamic that was palpable throughout the entire event.
Event design meets science communication
In addition to the scientific programme, we at B.EFFECTIVE have deliberately set the tone in order to raise exchange and networking to a new level:
• Science Slam @ University of Bonn - We transformed a lecture theatre from the 1960s into a modern event experience. Sophisticated staging and captivating dramaturgy created an electrifying atmosphere in which science became a real experience. In front of over 500 guests, young talents presented their research in an entertaining and inspiring way.
• Networking & explorations - Small excursions, interactive formats and relaxed meeting spaces provided a familiar setting and encouraged personal dialogue beyond the presentations.
• The big finale: an evening for all the senses - at Krewelshof Eifel, we created a setting that perfectly combined science and experience. A comedy act by Dave Davis, creative workshops such as pumpkin carving and flower arrangements and a high-quality BBQ with a variety of buffet stations led the participants into an evening full of lightness and inspiration - before the party continued on the dance floor.
Our conclusion: science with the wow factor
With heart, strategy and a keen sense for the target group, we made the 5th Dr Hans Riegel Academy an unforgettable experience. This event impressively demonstrates how scientific exchange, emotional experiences and interactive formats can be combined to create an event that inspires and moves in the long term.
